Summer Family Photo Session – The Forster Family

It was great hanging out with the Forster family during their photo session at the beginning of this summer. We chose one of my favourite spots to photograph in longleat forest.

I often meet families who tell me they’re not keen on having their photo taken or that their toddler may not cooperate. My approach to every photo session is always the same, go with the flow! The kids were happy running around and playing and this was such a fun session to shoot. They were so natural in front of the camera and I think it really shows (even if they didn’t realise at the time!). I wanted to share some of my favourites…

If you’d like to have a summer family photo session then I’d love to hear from you! Click here for more info.

I’m excited to launch my new website showcasing the best of my family photography. This new direction for Greg Shingler photography combines two of my favourite things, family & the outdoors! I’ll be using favourite locations of mine within Longleat forest as well as offering sessions across Wiltshire, Somerset, Bath and the south west.

To celebrate the launch of the new website I’m offering a 20% discount on all family photo sessions & collections until the end of the month. See facebook page for details.

Hollie & Seb – Salisbury Wedding

In August I had the pleasure of photographing Hollie & Seb’s beautiful wedding in Salisbury. I’d met Hollie & Seb before, when they had a family photo shoot with their daughter Isla. It was lovely to photograph them again and capture their special day. Such a relaxed couple and great in front of the camera! We had amazing evening light for some stunning couple portraits. Here are some highlights of their day…

Poppies tea rooms – commercial photography

Throughout this year I’ve been visiting Poppies tea rooms in Bradford on Avon to take some commercial photography for their business. The tea rooms are located in the beautiful setting of Westbury gardens which overlooks the river Avon. It’s been great working with Janet and the team to produce this set of promotional photos, I thought I’d share a few here on the blog…

Chloe & Riaan – Longbridge Deverill, Wiltshire

We loved shooting this wedding back in July!  Chloe & Riaan were so easy going and really up for shooting something a little different, so during the early evening we escaped to Shearwater to capture some amazing bride & groom portraits. This was a beautifully unique wedding that was effortlessly styled. An intimate ceremony, emotional speeches, awesome couple and a huge party on the evening (I think every wedding should have a rave hour)! Enjoy the highlights from their special day…

Wiltshire Family Photographer – Hollie, Seb & Isla

Heaven’s Gate in Wiltshire is one of my favourite places for photo sessions. We went with Hollie, Seb and Isla a few weeks back and here are just a few of many favourites. Weather conditions were a little unpredictable but it didn’t seem to phase these guys! I’ll be previewing Hollie & Seb’s brilliant wedding on the blog next month.

Jonah at 6 months

A little while ago I took on a ‘personal photography project’ and an ongoing one at that. Jonah was born on 21st September 2016 and we can’t believe that today he is 6 months old.

There aren’t many things you get to celebrate at 6 months so I’ve made it an excuse to look through all of the photos I’ve taken so far. And there are a lot, I mean hundreds and hundreds… but I’m glad I did it. I’ve loved documenting his life, from the early days at home to our first Christmas and our (very British) wet & windy first family holiday to a few photos I took this morning of him sitting up!  I’ve put together some of my favourites that show a glimpse into our lives over the past 6 months.
